Thank you for your solidarity

Dear Lionel Vinour, president of EFUCA,
Dear Silvio Matos, Secretary General of EFUCA
Dear Yurii Barussihin, treasurer of WFUCA
Dear friends and members of the UNESCO movement,

The Executive Board of Moldavian Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations want to thank you for your solidarity
with the occasion of the recent events from Republic of Moldova.

Some personalities of the UNESCO movement, which participated at the implementation of some of the projects of the NGOs from the network of World Organization of Talented Children and became friends of the young volunteers from Moldova, who only on volunteer work are developing for 18 years great projects of local, national and international level.
These projects are promoting, helped by Moldavian Federation of UNESCO Clubs and World Organization of Talented Children, the dialogue between people and cultures, are implementing de facto
the Child’s Rights, right to free expression, culture of peace and
non-violence, projects that help us to promote cultural politics, educational politics, youth politics etc…

Dear friends, dear colleagues – thank you again because every one, from Portugal to France and Ekaterinbourg, you have supported us.

Three NGOs from the WOTC network have monitored the parliamentary elections, the members of our NGOs being national impartial observers, who registered multiple violations of election code. Our young people, being aware of their responsibility, didn’t get involved in the riots from the evening of 7 April 2009.
Nevertheless, the volunteers from our NGOs are indignant by the Human Rights violations, applied by the police, and also condemn
the arrests of citizens on the streets in broad daylight.

All these are indicating that the Moldavian Federation of UNESCO Clubs, the other NGOs from the WOTC network who are promoting the activity and politics of UNESCO, Council of Europe, UN – have a lot of work to do for changing the mentality of the citizens, no matter the job they have.

We are still remembering the celebration from Paris of the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and we hope that each article of this Declaration will be not only known,
but also implemented by the European citizen.

Best wishes,

Renata Verejanu,
President-founder of the Moldavian Federation of UNESCO Clubs
Member of the Conciliation Commission of European Federation of UNESCO Clubs
